Man, this latest and long-awaited studio album from Wigan’s finest is as good as any I have heard this year. I was lucky enough to listen to it right through today a couple of times - you guys will have to make do with streaming clips of the tracks at parlophone.co.uk/forth or the band’s Myspace and Facebook pages.
The actual release contains twelve tracks, not the ten currently available to stream. The two bonus tracks are “Mover” and “Dub Chic”. Guess everyone will have personal favourites, but on limited plays “Appalaichan Strings” is already sounding like a classic. Rumours always surround the band - I think when you make music this good you will always be on the edge. Has Richard fallen out with Nick? My information is that they cancelled Italy due to Richard’s throat illness. The band are most certainly playing V Festival this weekend. Beyond that let’s hope it’s not the end of the road again.
