Trifonic: Emergence

When I first listened to Trifonic’s Emergence, I took it out of my player and set it aside. It wasn’t that I disliked it, I just didn’t make a connection with the album first listen. It happens more often than not. Forward to this evening…

I’m a bit emotional tonight. Long story short, I feel a bit cheated. I feel lied to. I feel like pieces of my heart are being pulled through the gaps of my rib cage…slowly. Get the picture? Ever find yourself needing a soundtrack to get you from one heartbreak to the next? I found mine this evening and I felt the need to share it with you.

The richly layered soundscapes that Trifonic have recorded might not be the right choice to play at your neighbor’s bar mitzvah, but they’re perfect to escape from the oxidation that the modern world has a tendency of depositing. On my page?

If you like what I’ve shared above, visit the band’s Myspace page and download another track they’ve made available. If you look around hard enough you’ll find a link to download the entire album. True.

Sorry to hear about the misfortunes in love, Kipster. We’ve all been there, and I certainly can appreciate the healing power of music.
