I have just received in my inbox.. a great duo hailing from Ontario, Canada (Jef Vandertogt) & Los Angeles, CA (David Gonzalez), respectively.
The Long Division is an internet collaboration between David Gonzalez (Los Angeles,California) and Jef Vandertogt (Ontario, Canada). After only knowing each other for only a month, they have completed their first EP, “Multiply.” The next EP titled, “Short Trips To Space” is nearly completed with yet another release looming near the horizon!
Colo(u)r me impressed.
Listen to Neighbors.
Brilliant!

It’s OK, but don’t see it going further than that.

Considering the literal long division between the 2 people, I still think there should be credit where credit is due.. but that’s just my opinion.
Silva, that’s nice & all, but really there is so much crap out there that gets ‘far’.. So wether they do or not doesn’t really matter. As long as they’re enjoying what they’re doing, who cares?

I think I’m going to fall in the middle…it’s pleasant and I like it while it’s on, but it’s not unique enough to really draw me in or inspire me to seek out more of their tracks.
I do have to say though, that they created this after only one month of interaction is pretty amazing. I certainly wouldn’t have been able to do it!
Oh and Gina - YOU NEED TO POST MORE OFTEN! =)

I know man, I know. Life was hectic for a while.. :)

Gina: that was just my opinion on their music. “It” is my interest in them - the track is nice, but won’t be as hooked on them as I was with other bands I’ve got to know here (The Search being the best example).
Sean put my thoughts better than I did. It’s one of those “I don’t mind it, but won’t google for more” tracks that appear on podcasts and playlists. And of course, kudos for them for achieving that so far apart from each other.
