It seems like the West Coast is the place to go if you’re looking for a quality pyschedelic, fuzz-guitar band. After all, that’s where we get The Brian Jonestown Massacre, The Warlocks, BRMC, etc.
So it came as no surprise to me that that’s where Darker My Love are from. With members from San Francisco & Los Angeles, they possess all the best qualities of the aforementioned bands and then some.
Their new LP is simply titled 2, and was produced by Dave Cooley (Silversun Pickups). It also includes new member Will Canzoneri manning the organ and claviet. Hey, the very fact that they need a bandmember that plays organ and claviet pretty much wins me over.

I remember them - they offered one of the albums as a free download last year, I think. Pretty good stuff.
