Taking the last contest results into consideration, I’m opening this one up to anyone with a mailing address in the States (including Rock Sellout contributors).

that gives me one whole day to learn the new album.
(this isn’t a contest entry since i’m gonna buy it the second it comes out… just expressing my frustration)

Being a huge Fratellis fan, I certainly am not going to let an opportunity like this pass me by. In fact, I strongly suspect the contest being open to RockSellout contributors is due to Kip knowing I’m just such a huge Fratellis fan, as those who listened to our very first podcast are also no doubt aware.
Here are my reasons (in no particular order) as to why I would like to win a copy of the delectable new Fratellis disc:
1. I use words like “delectable” when describing Fratellis music
2. I think the Fratellis are the bee’s knees, the cat’s pajamas, and other slang so totally ancient and lame that the vast majority of RockSellout readers will vote to declare me a winner simply so I can learn some hep new speak. Dig it, Daddy-o!
3. When slaving over a hot mouse all day I start moving slow. The band’s peppy songs will get me clicking faster, which means more posts at the site for our wonderful readers! Woot!
4. They aren’t playing a concert in Florida, a travesty of superhuman proportions, thereby increasing the importance of the album tenfold since I can’t see them live.
5. I know Fratellis is also a bistro in Houston, an obscure bit of trivia unknown to everyone (who didn’t do a five second Google search).
6. I don’t have cool friends like Shawn who give away cool albums. Therefore I need a cool album like Here We Stand to gain admittance to the cool friend group. That would be cool. And hep.
7. They’re from the UK, which would make them the only band I’m listening to these days who are NOT from Sweden, thereby derailing Sweden’s apparent plan for world domination through popular culture. This is happening - Ceci told me so. I need to stop it - I don’t like pickled herring.
8. It’s just damn good music. And don’t we all need more of that in our lives :)

So I am a huge Frattelis fan, so I would love to The Fratellis‘ new album, Here We Stand.
I’m not very witty though, so I can’t think of any witty responses.
I am seeing them on the 19th in Seatte though, and I’ll probably get there five hours early just so I can meet Jon, Barry, and Mince
I love the Fratellis so much, I have even forgiven Barry for calling Klaxons crap, which was hard to do, because I love Klaxons as much as I love The Fratellis. This all proves that I am an avid reader of The Fratellis board, because that is where Barry made the comment about Klaxons.
Hmm, what else can I say?
The Fratellis are amazing and I would be excited if I won because it would be totally awesome.
