A Swedish crooner that loves the 80’s? Did I die and go to heaven?

I know what you’re going to think on hearing the first 30 seconds or so of this track - Sean, you’ve tricked us into listening to some kind of Jack Johnson-y nightmare! SEAAAAAAAAAANNNN!!!
Ahhh, but it’s not true my friends! I would never do such a thing. You need to keep listening. What you’ll find upon further consideration is not only a guy that refuses to be pigeonholed into any one genre, but a tremendous musician with a great voice. His first album, Sweet Bills, came as a total surprise to me last year. It still finds itself in frequent rotation on my iPod. I have no doubt his new LP will find a similar place of distinction in my collection.
Check out the track below from his upcoming sophmore effort, titled Wrong Side of the Room (due out on August 19th).

It’s like watching Leonard Nimoy’s In Search Of…until I experience it, I don’t believe it.
